Who Qualifies To Get A Bursary Or Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application process.
Applications at the moment are open and can close on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must meet the subsequent requirements:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a home that has a combined gross residence income that does not exceed R350 000 per annum.
• People with disabilities qualify if their combined domestic income isn't going to exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and wish not post any proof of earnings.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent residents from households click here with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for every annum.
Applicants are 2025 nsfas application reminded to provide the correct Identification Document numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored in their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are finding out or intend to research in a public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait my nsfas until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
